Environmental Conservation
At Eco- Lusion we are motivated in our efforts in reducing environmental loss and damage as a result of the adverse effects of climate change. In order to better understand how our conservation efforts relate to sustainability, we place emphasis on promoting environmental friendly solutions that accelerate community transition towards a Sustainable Future.
We are motivated to steer the fight against global climate change through promotion of community climate change education, awareness creation, sensitization, adaptation and mitigation.
We champion environmental conservation through afforestation, reforestation, clean-up activities to enhance the fight against Environmental degradation, thus building community resilience to the effects of climate change and enhance food security in the community.
The initiative is aimed at promoting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development with the purpose of focusing our efforts in the following key programs:
- Habitat conservation and protection: We focus on the conservation and protection of critical ecosystems and endangered species of both flora and fauna like forests and wetlands
- Community resilience and adaptation: Through a number of activities, we help vulnerable communities adapt to the impacts of climate change.
- Environmental education and awareness: We educate communities including schools about environmental issues and climate change. Through this, we aim to promote behavior change towards sustainability and enhance capacity of various stakeholders.
- Policy advocacy and legislation: We focus on lobbying for environmental regulations, climate change and environmental policies both at the grassroot and national government.
